A dictionary with comments
behaviour
(BEH) – this is the main question standing before mankind
living and acting on planet Earth; this is the question about life or
death; this is Hamlet's question – TO BE or NOT TO BE?
capitalism (CAP) –
an evil social order characterized by large-scale discrimination
between people, large-scale poverty, large-scale slavery, large-scale
waste of natural resources, large-scale robbery of the resources
belonging to people and the society, large-scale misuse and non-use
of important advice given by various experts and "seers", hiding
important knowledge, killing behaviour, bureaucratic
dictatorship, and similar attributes; the collapse of CAP was
predicted already by Karl Marx and others; MM predicted the
collapse of CAP on the basis of moral: „a society based on an
evil moral cannot survive“ (teadus.visioon jm, 1999, 2000); George
Soros and others have predicted this collapse on the basis of economy
closed society (CS) –
a society that does not support free movement of information as this
is considered dangerous to the well-being of this society; "non-seers",
persons who „see poorly“ are both members and products of CS
developing the society
– informing people about the situation in the existing human
society, with a goal to abandon the old, primitive and inhumane
structures and replace them with new structures, those more worthy
and more humane
Continuous development
of the society is the most important task of a democratic society! (a calling voice from America, during the last change of the century)
If it proves impossible to
establish a developed, worthy, humane society IN REALITY, then
the Pioneer of the society will construct the scheme of it
next to the existing society.
evil society, evil structure –
the society not good enough for a human being; the society full of
discrimination, injustice and violence; the society in which people
cannot use resources as beings with equal rights; various forms of
„killing behaviour“ characterize this society;
historically, several forms of evil society have been described
(slavery, feudalism, capitalism, communism), none of those
were capable of turning back to violence and starting a non-violent
social life instead; after WW2 there was a unique possibility for
humans to live a long time without global wars, but mankind did not
use this peaceful time for good, e.g. between 1970 and 2010 poverty
rose 200% whereas the number of humans living on planet Earth rose
only 12%; thus, the latter peaceful time has been lost, and evil
society is still there ... its jaws are wide open ! ...
humane society, humane structure –
the society worth of living; the society in which each human being
has the right to develop himself/herself according to its (inner)
potential and present his/her contribution to the society; each
person does this in a unique way no one else can do; thus, by
walking his/her path and contributing to the society in the
best possible way each person has also a right to use the resources
available in this society
interest-based (IB)
– natural activity of a human being, as well as of any other being;
activity that is based on natural interest which is the main driving
force of any healthy being living in a relatively normal
(worth-of-living) environment; Pioneer of the society (PS)
separated e.g. „money-based science“ (MBS) and
„interest-based science“ (IBS) in the late 1990s
(electronic list „teadus.visioon“, 2000; e-newsletter
„Epetsicus“, 2001 etc.)
killing behaviour
(KBE) („nottimiskäitumine“, in Estonian, since 2001) –
violent behaviour characterizing a person or a community that lives
under the rule of evil society; after September 2001 the term
„nottimiskäitumine“ was introduced in Estonian electronic
media; the forms of KBE include physical, psychic, verbal, temporal,
spacial and others
KNOWLEDGE (KN) –
the main tool that a human being can gain and use during lifetime; in
an evil society KN can cost lots of money; but in a
humane society it has no such value, in such a society KN
is simply invaluable!
liberation of
information – basic method of Open Society, which helps
people to become seers; this method was described during preparation
of the BANCO Project (BAltic Nature COnservation – Modernization of
Nature Conservation in the Baltic States, presented to Open Estonia
Foundation in May 1996)
MM – Matti
Masing, „Pioneer of the society“, the Pioneer (one of many potential
pioneers), author of the website „Open Society Movement“,
„Avatud Ühiskond“ and many others
money-based (MB) –
activity which is based on money or other similar item which makes
people inhumane towards each other, provoking in them carelessness,
hateridge, violent behaviour etc.
"non-seer" – a
person that cannot „see“ clearly enough, who does not know or
understand real humane values, who is not interested in a humane
society and humane relationships between all people; instead it
supports evil society, and can do so even „at all costs“;
this person is often not well educated about the history of nature
and human society, partly because education is an obstacle for him to
carry on („it is not good to know too much, it is much better to
know only those things which are good for me in the light in which I
am able to see now, when my eyes are closed!“); in this way a "non-seer" constantly switches himself/herself off from a
knowledge-based (open) society
"open one's eyes" (OOE)
– activity to become a "seer"
Open Society (OS)
(„Avatud Ühiskond“, in Estonian) – knowledge-based
society; a human society which supports free movement of information
as this will ultimately lead to the increase of KNOWLEDGE; the
society based on knowledge potentially supports free development of
humans as individuals and as members of the society; OS
prefers a humane system instead of an evil system, and
the members of this society are able to become „seers“; OS
is opposed to closed society in which important information is
hidden from people because this is considered dangerous to the
well-being of this society
The term OS has
been used as part of signature since 1996 to mark the author's (the
Pioneer's) attitude towards the existing society in Estonia
and elsewhere in the world. This term has also helped the author to
separate his views from those of closed society, and to
explain the role of Open Society Movement in the process of
transformation of a human society from an evil structure to a
humane structure.
Open Society Movement
(OSM) („Avatud Ühiskonna
Liikumine“, in Estonian) – a movement that
advertises and implements the ideas of Open Society; this term
was used during electronic discussions and in the signatures of
documents sent to those in power at the end of the 1990s and at the
beginning of the 2000s
path (way) – a
unique way that each person has first to discover and, after this
discovery, walk; one has to „open its eyes“ first to see
the path before starting to walk it; if one's eyes are not
opened, this means that they are closed, and in this case KNOWLEDGE
about the society as well as about the rest of the surrounding world
is not arriving to the person, and lots of misunderstanding, instead
of knowledge, fills his/her mind; with „mist in mind“ the path
cannot be seen clearly or it cannot be seen at all
Pioneer of the society
(PS), the Pioneer – a person who can „see“, and who
educates others to become seers; e.g. in „Evening light – story
told by a pioneer“ (Eptesicus, 2004)
politician – a
person whose aim is to be part of the ruling power in a human
society; the essence of a politician is determined by the social
system to what this person belongs; thus, within the ruling power of
an evil society there cannot exist politicians who are
not connected with this evil; in an evil „democratic“ society
those politicians who seem less evil are most likely to be
elected by people, meaning that their evil is well hidden
"seer" („nägija“,
in Estonian) – a person who has "opened his/her eyes", a
person who can „see“ clearly, a person who is well experienced
about the history and nature of mankind, knows enough about laws of
nature and those of human society, and has discovered his/her unique
path to move on; a person that is interested in humane
relationships between all people
separating things
(„asjade eristamine“, in Estonian) – a basic method to get the
results, to reach the next rung of the ladder of gaining knowledge,
and to reach the next step in the way of becoming a "seer“
